I must say that I disagree with that characterization of my statements.

I've been an ICANN supporter, albeit one with serious reservations, since
we formed the Boston Working Group last fall.

Sometimes I point out flaws and missteps in ICANN. (And I do believe that
ICANN is making errors so serious that it is on the verge of failing.)

I prefer to consider it as constructive commentary and criticism.
Indeed, several of the improvements that have been made in ICANN's
structure have been the results of my efforts or of efforts in which I was
an active, and supporting, participant.

The IDNO is an important effort to try to bring back at least a minimal
degree of individual participation in the body that determines policy over
the Domain Name System.

As it stands today, were Jon Postel to be resurrected and to walk into the
DNSO and look for a constituency in which to express his opinion -- he
would be look in vain

The IDNO would provide such a place.

General membership in ICANN is not a substitute for an Individual Domain
Name Owners' constitutency within the Domain Name Supporting Organization.
