Just your friendly neighbourhood list mechanic. Due to an urgent
requirement to free up the machine that is currently hosting the
idno lists, I am in the process of transplanting the lists to another
server.
A side effect of this is that the software I have been using to run the
list also needs to change -- the new box is a SPARCstation, and I can't
get sparc binaries for listmanager in the timescales available. I am
moving the list onto majordomo, although I might move back later if
(when) it's feasible.
I have been busy testing this evening, and I am fairly confident that
nobody should notice any change (although there might be a couple of
short delays in messages sent to the list being re-sent out).
Anyway, just thought I'd let everybody know -- if you do notice anything
strange, then (a) don't panic :) and (b) if it persists, let me know at
jabley@patho.gen.nz.
[a fringe benefit of this change is that I should have list archives
since about IDNO:89 on the web in test tonight too]
Thanks,
Joe
