Since my own brain seems to have finally roused itself and started churning
again, I wanted to throw out an idea of my own.
Basically, I think it'd be *very* useful to have a "Weekly Summary"
e-mail, which would contain brief snippets of news and information
relating to the goings-on within ICANN, the DNSO, IDNO, etc.
Not an "Executive summary". If for no other reason, that term makes me
think of dumbed-down substance-free one-liners. :)
But something that's concise and full of facts, or reports of actual
events (e.g., links to related news stories, quotes from (in)famous
members of ICANN, IDNO votes, NC decisions, meeting times, etc.
(I'm going to regret this next bit a whole lot, most likely)...
I'd even volunteer to try my hand at putting this together.
Of course, it'd require eveyone's participation, because I don't have the
time to hunt down all the information necessary for something like this.
But if people would forward me news, info, links, etc., I could probably
manage it.
Let's say that icann-summary@bitshift.org is the address to be used to
submit info.
That is, if everyone thinks something like this would be worthwhile. I'll
be happy to devote my time to other things, like work and sleep. :)
