Comments:

When I Joined IDNO, we were already known as
the "Cyberspace
Association, the Constituency of Individual
Domain Name Owners" That
means that were still IDNO, as in idno.org,
yet we have never been the
IDNO Association as this initiative implies.
hmmm
How about Global Organisation of Names And
Domains? :^)

the ICRA: International Communication Rights
Association / International
Communicator's Rights Association
Selection #1 "Cyberspace" helps define
(supports) the -what/where-
portion of the "Constituency" FOR Individual
Domain Name Owners. I
agree - the world has too many acronyms. We're
new, thus- others will
quickly identify WHO and WHAT we stand for.
I approve of #4, but it should also say "or
IDNO for short"
"Organization for Communication Rights" (OCR)
It's fascinating to see how the numbers change
as the voters come back
again on this issue. Bear in mind that this
may not be the last time
suggested names come up, but whatever the
outcome of this election, it
has been a healthy process for us.

I agree with that last comment. On this second vote we don't have a
majority for any name any more, although the Cyberspace Association and
IDNO together have 11 out of 20 votes. OTOH, disapproval for every single
name is higher than approval.
Makes me wonder if these are the same voters.
Too marginal to make changes right now. Interesting how the net approval
of 9 for IDNO on the first vote, shrank to a net disapproval of -2, as a
result of the discussion perhaps?

This has been a good warm-up exercise.
I propose that we let it rest for the moment for more urgent things as the
steering committee election and that we come back later with all the
proposed names lined up. But instead of a preference vote, we'll have to
make it into a choice. I'll gladly leave that to a Name-and-image committee.
Sri, could you make a list of all the proposed names?
