Boo Foe


Boo Foe, 
the toad
sits in his plastic cage.

Unmoving, 
he sits --
he's not been fed for days.

No matter
he's fat
of time he doesn't think.

Patient
he is
on occasion he will blink.


Boo Foe 
can't tell
one minute from the next.

Poke him
he moves
but he is not afraid.
