My husband and I will b taking our first GC boat trip in July / August...18
day private paddle trip. I was wondering if there is any point in taking a
cellular phone (not that we want to make or receive calls- mainly for
emergencies). Is there reception at river level?

Also, is a radio useful or is there no reception?
