Splitting

We've been talking hydrology/geomorphology/grand canyon science in these
newsgroups of late. Properly speaking, these discussions are off-charter
for both gcboaters and riveraccess. The discussions have apparently not
drawn many flames, and have brought some lurkers out with information which
is useful, even intriguing, and certainly interests me, at least. My
thought up til now has been, "Hell, when somebody bitches we can solve it."
But Harding also has a listserver for discussion of general river topics,
science, etc: message to majordomo@hydrosphere.com with

subscribe rivers
end

and a confirmation routine gets you subscribed to it. The rivers server is
not thronged; in fact at present it has very few subscribers. I have been
copying my posts to it.

My questions are,

Should we take these discussions to "rivers" and let gcboaters and
riveraccess go back to charter? Or should we continue them here?
