Re: Schedule of NCDNHC

Folks,

I have been only a lurker on this list, even though my organization,
New York University, is a member of NCDNHC.

I had hoped to see substantive discussions about the role of our
constituency within the governance process, but instead I have gone
through months of messages of what appear to me to be petty arguments
regarding the fine points of governance.

Many of us have real jobs that keep us quite busy during the day. We
don't have time to do things like optimize the location of the deck
chairs on the Titanic. That is what much of this discussion has
appeared to be to me. If all we can do is argue over issues of how
we organize ourselves, then this organization isn't worth being a
member of.

One exxception: I do read and find sensible Kathy Kleiman's
occasional posts. I'm glad that she's active in the group.

Can we accept Nii's suggestion and get on with real life, please?
