Sunrise + 20 allows one trademark holder to pre-register their name + 20
variations. But it is obvious that many trademarks overlap. There are, for
example, many trademark holders on words such as "glad," "united," etc. When you
add in the variations, the number of conflicts *even among trademark holders*
multiplies significantly. For example, imagine 20 variations of the name "Intel".

There are over 1 million registered TMs in the US alone. Maybe there are triple
that number internationally, maybe more. 3 million times 20 = 60 million names.
The entire number of registered domain names now is about 15 million.

Sunrise + any number of variations also allows free speech rights to be violated.
For example, it gives a company a privileged right to register
<company-sucks>.newtld.
