The answer is *no*, but thank you for asking the question again, Rick. I will send again the same statement that I sent to the list a few weeks ago. Please read it this time.

--------------------------------------

The Spanish Internet Users Association is a non-profit organisation involved in creating and promoting Internet infrastructure in Spain. It has promoted the existence of the Spanish Internet Traffic Exchange point and other structures that help improve the workings of the Internet in Spain. This last month we have been able to get all the Spanish ISP organisations together to create an ISP coalition that will represent Spanish ISPs internationally.

In this same line, we promoted the creation of a registrar in Spain in which as many ISPs as possible would participate. The company, Interdomain, was created in September. Interdomain applied to become a registrar this last week. Our Association has the right to distribute 20% of the capital of this company, in order to make sure that the capital is distributed to other ISPs (and becomes a company with a wide base). We do not OWN the capital, just hold the option to sell it to third parties, the capital belongs to the other partners. We hope to be able to distribute the capital before the end of the year, at which point we will not be involved any more.

I am not, and will not be participating in CORE activities in the future, nor in those of any registrar, except for the core-srs working group, the working group that follows the development of the database (unless, of course, somebody makes me an offer I cannot refuse :-) )

As a representative of a user's association I will continue my activities in PAB, and in POC, if I am elected.

It is up to PAB to decide if -based on the above- I qualify or not to hold an office for PAB.

>Are you the Director of the Spanish Internet Users' Association?

My signature has said so for a long time now, it still says so.
