Dear SRS WG Members:

I STILL think I have a good idea.

I've had a few comments.  I only posted to SRS WG and Excom so that folk with
more smarts than could have at it first.

BobH found some merit in it and commented to the whole CORE List. I had not
intended to vet it before all till you folk had a go at it.  However, no
particular harm done.

I was reading Roberto's "GP Comments - Announcement" of 12 Feb 1998 10:02:03
-0000 just now and I think I had another splendid idea.  ;-}

I was in his "Trademarks and Intellectual Property" section when it hit me.
Why not load all present registrations into the SRS and give them an automatic
60 day waiting period?

It would give the World of Trademarks a good chance to see what good guys we
are.  It should also give WIPO the incentive to kick a-- and finish their ACP.

More anon.

Personal regards,
BobC

P.S.  Oh, have you seen this little gem which Peter Mott posted?  It's about
Grass Roots DNS Servers.  It's by Best, which I understand Emergent has
considered for some part of the SRS project, perhaps a "mirror".

Any comments on this approach?
