I wish the substance of my posting would be addressed, rather than this
fruitless and endless debate over the "ownership" of Domain Names. Legally
it is correct to speak of ownership rights.
I use this word because I advocate strong rights rather than just "licence
to use" as advanced by other interests.
You may not consider that you own your *own* name, but surely you would not
appreciate to have to pay yearly licence fees for it or live under the
threat to have it erased from the French population registry.
I hope you see my point.
