Hi,

Next Friday many among us will attend the DNSO-related meeting at Washington.
A number among us will also attend the "pre-meeting" on Thursday afternoon,
with the coordinating organissations and some guests.

As you know, the Transition Tema considers this event as a central part of
what we called at Monterrey the "outreach program" ie the efforts to bring to
the same table constituencies/interests/organisations/groups/entities that
have been absent or underrrepresneted so far.

As the Feb 5 deadline is really *approaching* the transition team thought that
it would be a good idea that those among us being there at Washington try to
get together in an informal but important working session.

It will be an informal session, as only a limited number of particpants will
be albe to attend (man ypeople will not fly to WDC, or will then go to Voston
for the ICANN Membership Senminar or just return home...). No "decisions" will
be taken, therefore. But we still feel the need to try to advance as much work
as we can do. And we also felt the need to timely inform those among you who
wil not be able to attend the physical meeting.

What we have planned is the following:

* 08:00-10:00am EST: Transition & drafting team meeting in order to summarize
the previous days' meetings; identify most relevant issues discussed; list
relevant comments; identy areas of emerging consensus.... We still don't know
where the session will take place. Let's discuss it there at Washington. Any
of you willing to spent some time and effort in keeping all this moving
forward, just contact me, Chon or Theresa during the Friday meeting, so we
will have a better idea of how many people will show up and find an adequate venue

* 10:00-12:00: TELECONF where we will try to get you as updated as possible on
the points listed above, and we all will discuss future strategy and try to
answer the most relevant question: "what's next?" (work, still more work, I guess.....).

Theresa Swinehart will send later a mail providng the call in number and
details.

We know that it is Saturday, but it is also "13 to Feb 5". So please join in.

[In order to better plan the telconf, all those interested to attend should
send a mail to Theresa, <Theresa.Swinehart@mci.com>. Your help is really appreciated].

So Netizens committed to a successful DNSO process, be there, physically or
htru the phone!!
Amadeu, three hours before flying out.

PS: perhaps this helps:

10:00-12:00am EST
15:00-17:00 GMT
16:00-18:00 CET
07:00-09:00am PST

and so forth....

PS2: This is the last msg I will send to these lists in a while. Let's see how
I mange to overcome hotel switchboards; plug idiosincrtic behavior and other
unexpected niceties of modern life. So enhoy kife-Without-Typos".... while it lasts!!!
