Hmmm. I'm no lawyer, but I'd be inclined to get the sites running, and put
a disclaimer "This site is in no way affiliated blah blah blah to AOL's
digitalcity blah blah." with a link to their site.
That way, you're stating up front to any visitors that you aren';t anything
to do with them, and you're putting a free link to their site, qwhich is
certainly not diluting their distinctive qwuality, it's actually improving
it (IMHO).
