People can claim anything.
But do not offer to sell your domain name without talking to an attorney
who knows this stuff.
Under recent US cases, the act of offering to sell is considered an event
that puts the domain name into the stream of commerce. And being in
commerce is one of the elements needed to support infringement. So people
who offer to sell, especially if they do so in the absence of a prior
request to sell are finding that they have inadvertently supplied a
missing component.
