Dear all,
Just before we go into our election I would like to nominate one more
candidate for our steering committee:
Bradley D. Thornton. Seconds?
I would rather be as inclusive as possible for all our active members.
It may look as if we have too much chiefs at this moment, but as soon as we
embark on a membership drive, we will need every one of you to take the
strain off the bootstrap.

Currently the following members have been nominated, seconded and have
announced their acceptance. Most of them should have their public
statements available by a click on their name on the IDNO website.

>Dan Steinberg (acceptance pending)
> Karl Auerbach
> Srikanth Narra
> Mikki Barry
> Dennis Schaefer
> Andy Gardner
> David Zanetti
> Dietmar J. Stefitz
> Mark C. Langston
> Rod Dixon J.D.,LL.M.
> Kevin Kelly (elected for the membership committee)
> William X. Walsh (elected for the membership committee)
> Rachel Luxemburg (elected for the membership committee)
> Roeland Meyer (elected for the membership committee)
> Dominique Baron
> Alan Speedy
> Arnold Gehring (elected for the membership committee)
> Steve Page
> Joop Teernstra (acceptance pending)
> Karl E. Peters
> Joan Faber
> Dietmar Stefitz
> Alan Speedy (elected for the membership committee)
> Dave Chu
> Ken Freed

About the two acceptances pending, a statement will follow shortly.

We will have 2 guest observers at this election: Diane Cabell and Simson
Garfinkel . Simson Garfinkel is a writer on high-technology topics for the
Boston Globe newspaper (a NY Times subsidiary). His work is syndicated
throughout the US. He has expressed an interest in reviewing our on-line
election procedures.

Diane has been part of the BWG and the ICANN membership committee, and I
hope she still has the ear of the interim ICANN board.
