Hey Luther. I like you am hooked on Dories and want to row one down the
Canyon,....many times. I rode in one once. on small rapids. in the
canyon. I am hooked. To that end I am currently building one; a 17 1/2
foot high side kit from greg tatman wooden boats, in Springfield, OR.
I'll have to fabricate all of the hatches and compartments myself but
then I'll get what I think I want. I hope to be Canyoned with it in
Nov. Learn by doing! I tried to find information, used boats, etc. and
struck out. either no one to talk to or to expensive. My guess is
Oregon and WA would be a good place to get your feet wet and row wood.
I'm getting my feet wet november 9. E-mail me after thanksgiving and
I'll let you know how it turned out.
Take Care.
