dead fees

For those who wish to see the fee issue live there is a meeting in Phoenix
this friday before the CRMP same place at 1:30 on fees. The GCPBA will be
there. By dead I mean the issue was barely discussed, I don't beleive I
heard it mentioned even once.

Concerning private management of this list that is a very live issue and
has been discussed to eventually include company participation. Many
people think there should be only one reservation system, some call it a
common pool. The adoption of such a concept would lead basically to aan
airline style deregulation...such change should let all of our little minds
run wild. No apologies needed, I am certainly no authority on any of
this...but then again I don't believe I have yet to meet anyone who
satisfies the traditional definition of "authority" other than those guys
who wear badges...not my favorite type.

Unless I am mistaken, I have been told that Ticketron runs the parks
backcountry res system...since I blew out my knees, I've had no need for a
backcountry permit...maybe someone else knows. As I stated before, Pat
Hattaway of the Park stated that he would welcome any new system that could
be demonstated would work.
