Re: NCDNHC Application and Information Form

Generally, in the legal profession, when one has not represented a
client for over two years, it's generally agreed that a long enough
time has elapsed that the lawyer is free to take on representations
adverse to the former client. I have been away from CORE for over
two years now. Perhaps the NCDNHC needs to revise its charter
to provide that the scorn of the constituency extends, yea, unto the
third generation.

Where in the charter does it specify that a family is not an organization
which is eligible to join the NCDNHC? Or is this simply another case
of post-facto exclusion of unpopular advocates?

Had Prof. Mueller RTFM'd before warming up his poisonous pen, he
would have realized that his suggestion that I join the registrar constituency
is another instance of his election to "remove all doubt," since the
charter of the registrar constituency states:

"The Registrar Constituency of the DNSO, is currently made up of members
who meet the requirement of being an ICANN accredited Registrar, and
having completed a Membership Form."

I don't meet these criteria. I'm just an internet user from Long Island
who has neither the wealth nor the technical sophistication to perform the
functions of the gtld registrar.

Joke or no joke, it's apparent that there is no eligibility to join the
constituency, as the Connolly family is not an organization under the terms
of our charter.

I would suggest the Kevin join the registrar constituency: from the family
website here's something that indicates why:

"I was privileged to serve as the spokesman for the PAB [gTLD-MoU Policy
Advisory Board] at a July, 1997 conference on the DNS.... That engagement
led to my participation in the kickoff conference of CORE, the Internet
Council of Registrars in New York in September, 1997, and was named to
CORE's RFP Committee, which published an Request for Proposals for the
development and operation of a shared domain name registration system. Once
a vendor was selected, CORE engaged me as their attorney to finalize the
contract between CORE and the vendor. CORE also honored me with an interim
engagement as their attorney for several months.
