For the record, I appreciate the compliment implied in Amadeu's
nomination and Rick's second, and I am also perfectly willing to let
Bob decide however he thinks best -- I won't be offended if he
disallows it. I don't want to perpetuate any controversy about the
duration of the nomination period, or the election, and I see no value
in a "constitutional crisis" over the issue.
