Dear New Officers and PAB POC Members:
Congratulations to Kent, Dan, Vivian, Javier and Peter. I think the world
of each and every one of you.
My deep and sincere congratulations to all of you.
I was surprised to see the results so soon. I saw one note from Rick
saying he's be away till the 29th. I assume he felt that the margins were
high enough that there could be no chance of error.
Michael Nagel made the comment that the results should not be available
till the 25th. According to Dan's system, the elections should not have
been closed out till 23:59 GMT of the 25th. Michael is certainly correct
and I shall therefore not make an "official announcement" until Rick
returns and verifies that no change resulted from last minute votes.
That said, I am satisfied that Rick's acts were based upon good logic. I
do not expect any change in the results after the 25th. Therefore, I am
sure that we have an excellent corps of new officers. You new officers may
be assured of my full support.
