PAB,

For most of what we have heard in the PAB list, it has become very clear that we will need time to work on the "Composition of POC" issue.

POC needs to release the RFC as soon as possible, to avoid being labeled as "closed club" by those who opose the gTLD-MoU.

I think that we still have to answer to POC officially. I have consulted with other PAB officers and we seem to agree that the following would the right answer now.

Please comment on it. If I do not have any negative answers by tomorrow, I will send it to POC.

POC,

1) PAB understands the importance of the issue of POC composition.

2) PAB understands the need for bringing out, as soon as possible, a new RFC on this issue that includes a proposal from POC.

3) PAB would like to discuss more deeply the implications that the proposed composition of POC will have for PAB, and respond with an overall PAB proposal.

Therefore:

1) PAB will not express now an opinion on the contents of the RFC, as it would not be meditated and agreed on. We will, nevertheless, support its issue by POC.

2) PAB will study, from the moment its elections are finished (December 19th), the implications of the POC proposal, and will respond to the RFC, publically, with one single voice, including in the response what it thinks the implications for PAB will be.
