Nobody wants to get to this stage but the behaviour
of some of the people on gtld-discuss is really over
the top. Comments please.

I great sympathize with you. One alternative is to remove from the mailing list some people who constantly exhibit a pattern of offensive behaviour making the list useless for intelligent discussion (I think most of us are aware who these people are since they've been booted off of many other mailing lists). Comments are solicited from the users of this list on the appropriateness of doing this - either posted here or sent to poc-submit@gtld-mou.org.
