Amadeu, and all,

There are a couple of things that I would add to your post (on which I agree
completely).

It is clear to me, now, that there will be some applications presented by
the Feb. 5 deadline.
The point is: do we want ours to be part of the set, or not?

If so, I agree that we need to work out the main plan of the application
(BTW, the Bylaws as well, as I think that we don't have much choice about
the incorporation), and have already some basic agreements with INTA before
the January meeting, but this is not sufficient.

We need also to reach out in order to have some support from who is not
directly part of the process, but is an Internet stakeholder (or simply
whose statement of support can have any influence on ICANN's decision -
remember that the statement of support that every application can gather
will be a relevant element in the choice). Can this be a part of the tasks
of the transition WG?

We need to be able to come to an agreement with any other relevant group
that is working in parallel for building a DNSO. As an example, I understand
that ORSC is leaving the boat and will lead another group. It is obvious
that in the global interest of the Internet we should be able to merge the
proposals in one common application rather than go separately to ICANN and
oblige ICANN to make a choice counting the heads behind every application.

Regards
Roberto
