We could save everyone a lot of time by simply appointing you Coordinator of
the Internet and Chairman of the DNSO/ICANN. Want the job? There's no
salary, and you'll be responsible for everything that goes wrong, but think
of the prestige. Your children will be able someday to tell their children:
"My mom ran the Internet during its last year, before Y2K hit and the
routing tables crashed and burned." Your name will be in all the history
books, and your epitaph will read: "Here lies Ellen Rony. She gave her life
in the fight against spam and the intergalactic IP hackers. May she rest in
PC."
