I am part of a group of people from Santa Cruz who are departing on a
private, 18 day trip rafting down the Grand Canyon. I just recently joined
the group (who have already been planning for months), and I think we are a
really exceptional (ie, fun) group of 18 people who are going to have a
great time on the river. We'll be putting in on the 17th of July (meeting
at Flagstaff), and will be done by the 7th.
We are looking for two more guides, who are class IV certified and who
have, preferably, been down the Colorado. This isn't the kind of trip
where the guides do all the work - but it also isn't possible for us to pay
the guides. Or even totally absorb their cost of coming - it's about $800
a person.
However, for someone who loves the river, and a great group, we're hopeing
this will be just the ticket.
Do you know anyone who is interested - and available? We are reserving
these last two spots for qualified guides (we already have two experienced
and two less experienced river guides in our group of 18 people). If so,
can they afford the $800?
Finally, and just as importantly, do you have any leads for me? They would
