Ben: I read your post with interest. Perhaps you can point me the right
way to become able to post on this group too, and possibly you would be
willing to in the meantime post a shortie for me?

I have yet to see in the time I've been following this group anyone at
all admit to the one unique feature that distinguishes the GC permit
system from all other managed rivers that I know of: If you a private
boater get your name on the list, you will eventually get to go down the
grand. On no other river I know about is that true. Hmm.

Larry Bright, both a commercial guide (mostly on the Arkansas) and a
private rafter.
