Here's how you get on:

Well, I can't say that you're absolutely right, but on the
rivers I run now (kid-friendly runs) you are. I think
Canyonlands is a notable exception. Other folks may want to tell
us what other systems are in place out there.

I don't believe in lotteries as a rationing method. But, on
the other hand, "eventually" becomes pretty insulting when it's
10 or 15 years and I could just hop on a commercial trip (with
my visa card).
