I think the "geology" discussions are useful, and I wish I had the time to
read, understand and participate in the discussions, so I have just been
deleting them after a quick scan.
What I would really like to see would be a discussion of the River Access
Policies (i.e. the waiting list) and the effect that has on different
people's opportunity to visit the ditch. I really feel like the current
process actually favors getting people who have already been many times back
on the river again -- to the exclusion of the multitudes who have held the
dream for a lifetime and have not been fortunate to have the opportunity to
go.
I don't think that is (nor should it be) the goal of the reservation system,
but that is the effect!
I suspect this list is dominated by people in the first category, so I expect
a lively debate.
